A bike ride across the fields a couple of evenings ago instigated some rudimentary snapshot photos of the dramatic sunset (I only had a pocket camera with me). I have uploaded them into my photo library and they sit amongst details of the painting in progress, posted on this blog.
It struck me that there is a poetic affinity between these – the sky and the painting but I am completely unable to put it into words – yet. I know the only thing I can do is allow myself the time to filter and distill thoughts and maybe eventually something will clarify, or not. This is always the nature of it.
